Polyurethane foam insulation has many advantages. First of all, Polyurethane foam carries a R-value (resistance to heat flow) of 7 per inch. This allows a customer to create exceptional R-values in a 2"x4" walled home that was previously only possible in a 2"x6" wall before. The exceptional R-value is only part of the story though. Unlike fiberglass, polyurethane foam completely seals your home and creates an impervious barrier to air and moisture, substantially decreasing the amount of air flow through a house. This eliminates the need for building wraps, creates lower heating and cooling bills for the life of the home and may increase the market value of your home.
Spray-in polyurethane foam quickly hardens in the cavity between the studs in the walls. This benefits the structural integrity of a home by effectively "glueing" each stud in the wall together, creating one, continuous, strong piece. In fact, tests have shown a wall with polyurethane foam to be 300% stronger than one without!
